About Me
My name is Fei (you can also call me lulli or vivicrow). I am from Suzhou, China. If you think my English is funny, I hope you choose to correct me instead of mocking me. My passion lies in science, mathematics, programming, sci-fi, open source, online security, metal music, art and traveling. After high school, I spent few years in Canada, where I learned the craft of making video games. Then, I moved around China, Mauritius and Madagascar to experience different cultures and lifestyles.
I worked as Linux administrator and programmer, but somehow I didn't feel right about it. It was great to get paid to work on my interests, but working for companies do not share my values makes me feel empty inside. Life is short, and I don't want to spend my energy on jobs that help a few people make money. As a matter of fact, I came to hate companies that only focus on making profits. On March 1st, 2011, I finally said goodbye to the 9-5 lifestyle. I called that day my 2nd birthday. I am now only working for the projects I deeply believe in, or anything that will expand my horizon and ignite my creativities.
I also have a thirst for learning and creating. Right now, I am learning photography and French. I also find myself doing things I wouldn't have imagined doing 5 or 10 years ago: Yoga, meditation (my hyperactivity usually drove people mad, I need to tame it), memory training (I once hated memorizing), thinking about what exactly I want to do with my life (I concluded that life was meaningless to the universe in high school, but now, I know as long as you are happy about the meanings you invented for yourself, it's a good enough reason to devote your life to them...) Although it's impossible to know "everything", I could try to understand as much as possible to satisfy my curiosity.
